Mark your calendar for a very important day for your business.
On January 19th, we look forward to gathering with renewable businesses like yours in Richmond for Renewable Energy Business Lobby Day. In the past year, we have learned how essential it is for us to educate legislators on the benefits of pro-renewable policies for the environment and the economy. January 19 is a great opportunity for us to get the facts out and voice our concerns about Virginia's renewable policies to those in power.
The laws and policies that are passed at the state level in Virginia have direct impacts on your solar business - MDV-SEIA will be sponsoring this essential event to help make your voice heard. Let's make sure the legislators are well-informed and equipped with the knowledge to make the most sound policies possible.
Your participation is crucial for presenting a strong voice to the General Assembly this legislative session. Please register below including the names of your Legislators (Find your legislator) and your email address – the lobby day organizers will be helping to setup meetings with legislators and may wish to reach out to you.
Executive Director, MDV-SEIA
Have your business's voice heard in Virginia's General Assembly!
Join representatives of Virginia’s clean energy industries as we converge on Richmond on one day (Thurs., Jan. 19) for legislative visits, a noon-time press conference in the State Capitol building and private evening reception with legislators.
Last year 40 renewable energy businesses participated and made over 60 visits with legislators. We need an even greater level of participation this year. For one thing is certain: If the General Assembly is not informed on clean energy business issues and concerns, progress will be slow and laws could even be adopted which are detrimental to your business interests.
